At Henry Ford Academy, we offer many exciting opportunities for students to use their German skills in the real world.
In class, German-language students will focus on topics and skills that will make them more successful in the global market. Classes integrate authentic language use through video, print, music, newscasts, and verbal and written communication with native German speakers.
Students who pursue advanced German studies are eligible for a GAPP-supported exchange experience with a sister school in southern Germany(Staufer-Gymnasium in Pfullendorf) . The exchange allows our American students to host German high school students for three weeks in the fall; then, in the spring, our American students spend three weeks with their exchange students in the Bodensee region of southern Germany. Students who travel attend classes and participate in an internship in their host country. In addition, various cultural excursions and activities are planned.
